Different Emotions using the Same Acting Materials
After a casting director decides an interest in you during auditions, they often will ask you to do the same material with a different emotional current.
The reason why this is asked for is to test your own talent to find emotional ranges in your acting.
If a Director on film set needs you to make an adjustment with the scene work materials, they will need you to do so in real-time. This means that you as the Actor will adjust your own emotional range then redo the acting material and script.
When switching from one emotional current to another take the time to release the first before you activate a second emotion.
