Using one of many Emotions Lists on this website you find emotions that resonate with you. After you identify between 5-20 emotions you can start the work of recalling your own real-life experiences. Recall which times you felt in your own life the real emotion listed.

Next, write down 2-4 experiences where you have seen others in that specific emotional state. Use Bullet Points at first, and then work to write more later if you wish. Key details are important so you can later use the materials you write to activate your own emotions.

Next, write down 1-3 Imaginary Experiences that, if true, you would be in an expression of that specific emotional state. You can get very creative as you brainstorm reasons that if true, you would feel regret, shame, elation, despair, or heartbreak.
